Yankees attendance by game 2023 is an average of 40,358 at the Yankee Stadium. The team had a total of 3,269,016 attendees over 81 home games this season.

They have a seating capacity of 46,537 after the last renovations were done in 2020. The ballpark had the maximum record of 50,960 guests in the NLCS game against the Tigers on 6 October 2011.

New York Yankees have been playing their home games at the Yankee Stadium since 1923. The current ballpark is the exact replica of the former ballpark of the same name that stood from 1923 to 2008.

There had been an increase of 1639 guests per game considering the average crowd of 38,719 guests in the previous season. The ballpark had 132,809 more tickets sold over the season making up for a 4.2% increase than the last season record of 3,136,207.

However, it is still lower than their normal crowd size over the season which exceeded 3.3 million before the 2020 pandemic and lockdown affected the flow of people. While It has increased over the past 3 seasons starting with only a 1.95 million crowd in 2019, the team is unable to reach their maximum capacity due to their lacking performance in 2023.

The 2023 season had been the worst season for the Yankees as they got eliminated from the playoffs after being successful for 6 straight years. They were confirmed for elimination after their 77th loss of the season on 24 September against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 1-7 score.

The following day was the final home game of the season at Yankee Stadium with an estimated crowd of 41,096. However, the fans did not arrive after learning they were eliminated from the playoffs after the previous game.

The ballpark had the least expected crow of 4,000 to 5,000 at most considering the rainy weather. It was expected to be 41,096 since the game was rescheduled after the game on 23 September with an Aaron Judge bobblehead event.

Yankees Stadium has a reputation for being one of the most expensive ballparks after the reconstruction. The loyal fanbase and locals are mostly attracted by the special events occurring at the arena throughout the season.

The Old Timers Day was a recent event from 9 September celebrated as a tribute to retired legends. There are various other special days and nights that are planned by the stadium to promote sales.

Likewise, the bobbleheads, t-shirts, hoodies, and other special event items attract the audience to the game. Locals are also attracted to the special heritage events planned for specific audience groups.

Yankees attendance yesterday was 20,662 at Kauffman Stadium for the KC Royals game. It was the last match of the regular season this year. They had finished the season with a .509 winning percentage and a record of 82-80.
