Tommy Edman Wife Kristen Edman Will Support Korea In World Series

Kristen Edman is a former softball player at Concordia University Irvine.

Edman is a real estate agent at the Laura Sanders team in Ladue, Missouri. She is in a group of MLB WAGS who are real estate agents themselves, including James Outman's partner Dasha Outman, and Jameson Taillon's girlfriend Claire Petratis.

Born on August 12, 1994, as Kristen Shiotani to parents Terry Shiotani and Toshi Shiotani in Poway, California, she attended the Poway high school in her hometown.

Later, she enrolled at Concordia University Irvine in 2012 and was part of their softball team. Standing at 5'5, she played as the OF of the team for two years.

Kristen played softball for some time, just like the partners of some other MLB stars, whose spouses or girlfriends played the game themselves at some point in their life. These players include the likes of Bobby Witt Jr, Andrew Chafin, Joe Mantiply, John Schneider, and Bryson Stott among many others.

Kristen then moved to California State University San Marcos, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services, per her LinkedIn profile.

Shiotani Started Working In 2010

Kristen had started working even before she joined college. Her first ever job was as Hostess at the Claim Jumper Restaurants.

She then became the Administrative Assistant of the Maranatha Chapel in 2013. After spending a year on the job, she was hired as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in 2015 by Poway Unified School District and later promoted to teacher in 2018.

While she was at the institution, she also held a job as a stylist on the side at Michael Kors from 2016 to 2017.

Currently, she is a real estate agent for the Laura Sanders team.

Kristen Grew Up In A Family Of Six

Kristen Edman was raised with one brother and two sisters by her father Toshi Shiotani and mother Terry Shiotani.

Her parents have been married for the past 34 years. They live in San Diego, California.

Her brother is named Toshi Shiotani Jr. whereas her sisters are Kassy Shiotani and Kimber Shiotani. We can see glimpses of her family members and siblings on her Instagram account under the handle kristenedman.

She often likes to post pictures with her husband and her loved ones and pictures from her retreats and travel. Missus Edman is a fashionable woman and has a charming glow to her personality.

Tommy Edman proposed to his wife Kristen Edman on 24 December 2018 in front of the historic Hotel Del Coronado.

They started dating in 2017 after mutual friends helped them get together. Tommy's teammate from the Stanford baseball team helped the two athletic couple meet. Kristen was the childhood family friend of Tommy's teammate.

On 2 January 2018, Tommy shared a picture of the two via his Instagram account, captioning the picture, "Happy New Year to all and Happy 1 Year to my beautiful girl! Here’s to an even better 2018."

The very first picture Tommy has of Kristen on his Instagram dates back to 21 January 2017. He captioned the picture, "Started with a follow now we here," implying that they started talking after a follow on Instagram and are now together.

Four months later, Kristen confirmed their relationship on 19 June 2017. She had posted a picture of the two on his graduation, mentioning that graduating from Stanford is hardly gonna be the most impressive thing he's gonna do, to which he replied in the comment section with a "thanks babe."

Kristen Often Attends The Games To Show Her Support For Tommy

Kristen visited Tommy during his spring training in March 2017 at Flordia. He expressed his happiness about having her beside him during the spring training via his Instagram post.

Tommy shared a pic of the two after a game, where she had traveled to Chicago to watch him play in a minor league game. Most recently, the two visited the Cardinals ballpark together during the Cardinals family day celebration in July 2022.

The two also love to go on retreats and do recreational activities. Tommy and Kristen went on a weekend trip to Branson on June 2020 and to Chautauqua Park, Boulder in October later that year.

The Athletic Couple Got Engaged In 2018

Tommy proposed to his sweetheart a day before Christmas of 2018 at a beach in San Diego.

The Cardinals star wore a grey shirt and khaki pants with slippers on whereas Kristen had a black top and blue jeans on.

Edman got down on one knee and asked her hand for marriage, to which she replied yes. Both shared the special moment via their respective social media platforms.

Tommy mentioned it was great to have family and friends around to celebrate this special moment, and Kristen captioned her post saying she didn't know what to say other than that they're engaged.

Kristen and her friends celebrated the bachelorette party on August 2019 at Wet Republic Ultra Pool. She claimed it to be one of her life's top three best weekends.

Tommy And Kristen Tied The Knot In 2019

Tommy and Kristen Edman married on 23 November 2019, a few days after MLB star, Austin Hedges, had his wedding. 

Their wedding ceremony was held in Poway, California, the birthplace of the bride. Both looked stunning on their big day. Tommy appeared dashing and smart with a black suit on, whereas Kristen looked beautiful as ever in her white bridal gown with a headpiece on and a bouquet of white roses.

Tommy and Kristen shared the snaps from the big day via their Instagram account. The groom stated that it was the best day ever and mentioned that he got to marry his best friend while surrounded by friends and family.

The couple took a honeymoon vacation trip to Hawaii after becoming Mr. and Mrs. Edman in December. They spent some time together in Maui, an island in Hawaii, and even did a Helicopter tour to make the vacation extra special and memorable.

Whenever any one of their birthdays or when their anniversary date comes around, both Tommy and Kristen both love to wish one another regularly.

Kristen wished her man a happy birthday on 10 May 2022, mentioning her sweet and funny hubby. Likewise, Tommy shared some adorable pictures of the two and wished his partner a happy 3rd anniversary in November 2022.
