Airi Hatakeyama Is A Multitalented Woman
Seiya Suzuki wife Airi Hatakeyama is a Japanese sports reporter. She found success in media after retiring from sports.
A famous TV personality in Japan, Airi, first came into the spotlight for her athletic prowess. A two-time Olympic representative for Japan in rhythmic gymnastics, Airi retired from the sport at 22.
But that doesn't mean she disappeared from the face of the world. Airi returned to the spotlight after joining the Japanese news channel NHK in 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Airi regularly reported for NHK "Sunday Sports 2020" and has since starred in several campaigns as a model.
In 2017, Airi became part of the company, Sportsbacks, which is a consultant for athletes and people involved in sports. After joining Sportsbacks, Airi started focusing on building her on-screen personality.
One of her first major deals was with the Japanese sportswear company Asics. The former Olympian would be seen promoting the brand on her social media handle and, in 2017, was the cover feature of Greengora magazine.
After becoming part of Sunday Sports at the end of 2017, Airi continued to share posts of her with the crewmates at NHK. In 2018, Airi also published her first photobook, titled "CONFESSION."
A pet lover, Airi's cute dogs, Sheri and Noah, are a regular feature on her Instagram handle. One of the other big brands Airi endorses is the Swiss watch company, Zenith, with whom she has worked since 2020.
In 2021, the gymnast was part of the video where she dressed as a safety public relations officer to make the public aware of traffic accidents. Airi visits the rhythmic gymnasium classes in her free time and mentors the young and upcoming players.
