During his playing career, the outfielder scored 82 home runs and 386 RBIs, averaging .268. After retiring in 2011, Gabe started his coaching career by coaching the Israeli National Team for the 2013 World Baseball Classic qualifier.
The former player joined the Dodgers as a player development coach in 2014 and, after a couple of seasons, joined the Phillies for his first managerial role. He guided the Phillies to an 82-82 record in 2019, the franchise's first non-losing season in seven years.
In November 2019, Kapler was announced as the Giants' manager after the retirement of Bruce Bochy. Gabe guided the team to a 29-31 record in his first season, which was shortened by the pandemic.
The following season Giants finished at the top of the NL West with a record of 107-55 and reached the playoffs. It was the first time the manager had guided a team to the playoffs.
However, they could not get past the Dodgers in the division series. The Giants have a record of 28-28 and are third in NL West as of June 2, 2023.
Justin Viele - Hitting Coach
Viele began his career as a coach in 2015 when he joined Frederick Keys in the Baltimore organization as an assistant coach. After a couple of years with the franchise, Justin joined the Dodgers staff.
He served as the hitting coach for the Ogden Raptors, a minor league affiliate of the Dodgers. Justin then served as the hitting coach for organizations such as Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, Glendale Desert Dogs, and Great Lakes Loons.
Before the 2022 MLB season, Justin joined the Giants' coaching staff as a hitting coach.
Craig Albernaz - Bullpen/Catching Coach

Craig began his coaching career in 2015 as the coach of the Princeton Rays, a team in the Appalachian League. The coach also served as a manager for the Bowling Green Hot Rods in Midwest League in 2018.
He was named the Manager of the Year for that season. He spent the 2019 season as field co-ordinator in minor leagues for the Rays franchise before joining the Giants team as a bullpen and catching coach in the last month of 2019.
