Nelson Cruz girlfriend Yuberkis Mateo is a businesswoman from the Dominican Republic. Mateo and Cruz went public with their romance in 2021.

The Dominican Republic natives, Nelson and Yuberkis, had their first child, Neon, in 2019, and two years later, welcomed their second child, Gala. The couple has tried to keep their relationship away from the public limelight but, since 2021, have given few glimpses into their private life.

A few weeks back, the former designated hitter of the Nationals, Cruz, was announced to have signed a one-year deal with San Diego Padres. At Padres, he will be greeted by the outfielder Trent Grisham, who is looking to make a strong comeback in 2023.

On February 9, 2023, it was announced that the veteran player was added to the squad of the 2023 World Baseball Classic representing the Dominican Republic.

Yuberkis Mateo Is A Businesswoman

Yuberkis Mateo was born on October 3, 1989, and is currently 33. The partner of Nelson Cruz is nine years younger than her partner, whom she was supposed to have met in 2018.

Mateo was raised by her mother, Carmen Rosa Perez, and her father in the Dominican Republic with her brother, Rafy Mateo. Yuberkis runs the car rental service with her brother, Rafy, whom she considers her best friend.

The brother-sister duo has a separate Instagram handle for their company, Autorent, in which their first post dates to November 2022. If there is one thing clear from Yuberkis' Instagram handle, then that is her love for traveling.

From Greece to Spain to Israel, Yuberkis has shared several photos of her trips to all these countries, some of which came before her relationship with Nelson and some after.

For a long time, the couple kept their relationship a private matter. The baseball player shared the first photo with Yuberkis last year in November when she and their two kids had come to watch his game.

The stylish woman, Yuberkis, has been seen wearing several designer clothes, including Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and Carolina Herrera. She is also a wine connoisseur and loves to show her immaculate taste in her posts.

In the past, Yuberkis has been part of the foundation Boomstick23, the non-profit organization established by Nelson. In October 2022, the couple further donated 100,000 pesos and organized a basketball tournament to uplift the youth in the community.

In March 2021, Neon was seen dawning on the Minnesota Twins jersey as Yuberkis captioned the post, "Supporting Daddy." One of the first family photos of the three of them came in 2021 as Yuberkis was seen giving a peck to her son as Nelson carried him on his shoulders.

The Couple Celebrated Gala Turning One At Enchanted Gardens

Nelson and Yukerkis's second child, Gala Cruz, was born on November 16, 2021.

The princess of Nelson and Yuberkis, Gala, to show support to her father, visited Nationals Park with her mom and her brother last year.

Though she might have only recently turned one, the toddler is already a fashionista like her mother, being seen wearing the child clothes of the Italian luxury brand Dolce Gabbana.

Last year with her brother, Gala dressed up as characters from the cartoon show, The Flintstones. For her first birthday, Gala had a pink birthday theme at the Enchanted Garden. Yuberkis shared the video of the family having a fun time at the birthday party.

The family of four welcomed 2023 at their homeland in Jarabaoca, Dominican Republic. And this year, the three will look to cheer on Nelson at Petco Park after his latest move to Padres was confirmed.
