MLB Teams Jersey Ads 2023
MLB team jersey ads will start with the new season of 2023 for all MLB teams. San Diego Padres is the first MLB team to have a sponsor patch deal with Motorola.
They announced their deal with the tech company back in April 2022 for the first time. The teams can have an advertisement as a patch on the sleeves and helmet.
Right-handed pitchers and hitters will have the sponsorship patch on their left sleeve, and left-handed pitchers and hitters will have the patch on their right sleeve, depending on their hitting and pitching style. The advertisement patch will be roughly 4 x 4 inches but not more than that.
The second team that allowed the company to post their ad in their uniform was Boston Red Sox in November of 2022, with the third largest life insurance company in the USA, Mass Mutual.
In February 2023, four other teams signed deals with four companies for the sponsor patch to be featured in their jersey.
Starting on February 2, 2023, Arizona Diamondbacks announced a new partnership with Avnet to include a jersey patch on their jersey sleeves.
After a day, on February 3, Cincinnati Reds signed a deal with Kroger, the fourth largest grocery store in the United States.
In the same month, February 4, 2023, Angels partnered with Foundation Building Materials (FBM) for 3 years as their official jersey patch partner. Their rectangular logo features a Cypress tree and the FBM initials with red and blue, which are the official colors of the Angels on the sleeve of the jersey.
Oxy became the official jersey partner for the Houston Astros as per their agreement on February 10, 2023. Astros and Houston-based energy company announced an expansion of their team's official jersey partner for seven years. They will be featured for the regular as well as any postseason games.
