Jason Adam Wife Kelsey Adam Was Miss Delaware 2014

Kelsey Adam is Miss Delaware Teen USA 2009 and Miss Delaware USA 2014.

Since winning the former title in the Bahamas, she received many opportunities. She was cast in Freddy Walker’s music video and we can also see her in the MV for "Echo" by Dave Patten.

Further, she modelled in the Carlisle Corvette Show and got the chance to do a Fashion Show for Tiger Lily, a local boutique store.

Being Miss Delaware helped Kelsey gain confidence in herself and start with great ethusiasm despite being new in this industry. She believes being herself was what got her the crown.

Kelsey had also ran for the title the previous year, when she listened to a lot of outside opinions about how to wear her hair, the "winning" hair color, and what-not. She didn't feel like herself and came in second.

In 2014, the then-22-year-old decided to try it her own way. That year, she did not have a pageant coach or a trainer and got her gown only the night before the pageant. 

Kelsey then pretty much had her motto as "To thine own self be true." She wanted to inspire more young women to be whatever they want.

She also used her position to bring attention to Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, which one of her friends suffered from. RSD, a lesser-known neurological disorder, causes chronic pain because of damage to the peripheral nervous system. 

Besides, the Delaware native is also passionate about god and religion. She is a devout Christian, just like her beau Jason, and graduated from Kanakuk Institute in April 2018.

She has mentioned Proverbs 31:25 on her Twitter bio, "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."

Further, Kelsey and her reporter friend, Morgan Mobley, write uplifting articles about faith on a blog called Girlfriends With Grace.

Kelsey Adams Became A Model By Accident

Kelsey Adams studied organizational community leadership at the University of Delaware. Kelsey aspired to travel the world and work in broadcasting someday.

She also intended to be a basketball star and play for UD, like her older sister and younger brother. However, she tore an ACL twice in school, putting an end to her hopes.

Then, a former Mrs. Delaware USA gave her a call, suggesting she try the pageant. Kelsey's mom, Karen, encouraged it and she ended up giving it her all.

Jeff, her dad, describes Kelsey as a hardworking individual who would get up at five every morning to work out before attending her college classes.

Likewise, Jason Adam, her then-boyfriend, said, "Her humility, genuine heart and the fact that she really cares about others is what separates her from other contestants."

The baseball star described Kelsey as a girl who could do it all - have a tough game of catch with him one day and glide elegantly in evening wear on stage the next.

Jason Adam and Kelsey Adam married on 31 December 2015 after dating for over three years.

Jason and Kelsey had their wedding at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware. In December 2016, Jason shared their wedding picture on their first anniversary.

The couple has to thank Kelsey's sister, Kayla, for introducing them. It was a match made in heaven, and the rest is history. “We just hit it off right away,” the pitcher says.

Jason first posted his girlfriend on his socials when he took to his Instagram in August 2012 to share a throwback picture of her holding a baseball bat.

The next month, he shared a photo of the two taking a nap on the couch after a tiring day of college. After that, Kelsey was a regular feature on his account, as they would hang out very often.

In September 2014, Jason shared with his fans and followers that he and Kelsey were engaged.

Given Jason's baseball career, it's no surprise that the pair travel a lot. It has even given rise to Kelsey's Instagram handle being @thetravelingwife_.

Kelsey has been by her husband's side through it all - from the injuries and surgeries to many other adversaries. She was also in the stands with her in-laws to watch him make his big debut.

Jason is equally proud and supportive of his spouse. He mentions Kelsey in almost every social media post and when she entered Miss Delaware back in 2014, Jason was all for being there and showing his support.

He said it was easy to support Kelsey since she was passionate about wanting to make a big difference in people’s lives.

While the pitcher is habituated to playing in the most nerve-racking situations, he still got nervous watching the pageant. But, he believed his partner was deserving of the win.

"I’m a lucky, lucky man. She’s all big time now,” Adam joked after the win, “so she’ll probably just leave me on the bus.”

Jason Adam and Kelsey Adam are happy parents to three daughters.

Jason first announced that he was about to be a dad in January 2018. The following month, they had the gender reveal by cracking blue and pink colored eggs on their forehead. The pink one cracked, meaning it would be a girl.

Subsequently, Kinsley Joy Adam was born in June 2018. She is currently three and growing up fast; she already swings a baseball bat.

In August 2018, Jason and Kelsey took Kinsley on her first boat ride to Centre Island. In February 2020, the baseballer shared a cheeky moment of his daughter 'flirting' with a boy at the next table at True Food Kitchen.

Kinsley was soon joined by her two sisters. The Adams welcomed Joelle "Joe" Adam in November 2020 and Selah Rose Adam in February 2022.

That's not all. They are expecting a fourth addition to their family, as announced by Jason on 12 February 2023. More joy will be added to the family by daughter #4.
