2022

College World Series Winner 2022 is the Ole Miss Rebels baseball team. This team represents the University of Mississippi in NCAA Division I college baseball.

The 75th edition of the NCAA MCWS finale was held on June 17-26, 2023. Ole Miss was facing the Oklahoma Sooners Baseball Team in their final and won with a 2-0 win.

This tournament featured eight teams in two double-elimination brackets and the best-of-three at the end. This edition featured four teams from the SEC, West Division, two from Big 12, and one from the ACC and Pac-12.

The Ole Miss has appeared in this tournament six times and was crowned champion for the first time in 2022.

2021

College World Series Winner 2021 is Mississippi State Bulldogs. This baseball team represents Mississippi State University.

The finale was on June 19 to 30, and Mississippi State won 2 games against the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team in the best-of-three games. Vanderbilt won the first game with a 2-8 score, and in the second and third games, Mississippi State gave them no chance for the win with a 13-2 and 9-0 score.

This championship was after the one-year cancellation of the game in 2020 because of COVID-19 Pandemic. The attendance at the game was supposed to be half in number, but the officials from MCWS stated that the crowds would return to their full capacity without any restrictions.

It was the 74th edition and the 71st time the event was in Omaha, Nebraska.

2020

College World Series winner 2020 was not decided, because of the cancellation of the tournament, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.

2019

College World Series Winner 2019 is the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. This team represented Vanderbilt University during the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball season.

Vanderbilt was facing the Michigan Wolverines baseball team, which was making its 8th CWS appearance, whereas Vanderbilt was winning their 2nd championship. They had already won in 2014.

In the final game, Vanderbilt lost the first game by a 4-7 score and won their second and third game with a 4-1 and 8-2 score against Michigan. A total of 64 teams entered the 2019 tournament, where 31 automatic bids were awarded to each program that won their conference or their regular season.

All those qualifying teams from the regular season were placed into 16 regional double-elimination brackets of four teams.

2018

College World Series Winner 2018 is the Oregon State Beavers. They represented Oregon State University in the 2018 CWS.

Oregon faced the 9th time CWS appeared team, Arkansas Razorbacks, representing the University of Arkansas in baseball at the Division I level in the NCAA. The Beavers won the series in 2006 and 2007 and is the team to win the most collegiate baseball program.

The finale happened with best-of-three games, where Oregon State loosed the first game with a 1-4 score and consecutively won two games with a 5-3 and 5-0 score. Those games happened in Omaha for the 69th time.

Sixty-four teams from Division I were participating out of 298, where 31 teams were awarded an automatic bid, and 33 were selected at-large by the NCAA Committee. 

2017

College World Series Winner 2017 is the Florida Gators. They represent the University of Florida, located in Gainesville.

The MCWS started on June 17 and lasted for ten days. The Florida Gators baseball team faced the LSU Tigers in the finale, who were making their 18th appearance in the championship. It was the first title for the Gators.

The Gators were the runner-up for the 2005 and 2011 CWS and finally made their win in 2017. They won 2 games consecutively in the best-of-three match in the final with a 4-3 and 6-1 score against the LSU.

They had appeared in the tournament 12 times and have won 15 SEC championships. Kevin O'Sullivan was the team coach at that time.

2016

College World Series Winner 2016 is Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Carolina Chanticleers won the final game against Arizona Wildcats.

Coastal Carolina appeared for the first time and won the CWS in 2016, and they have never appeared in the championship after that year. They were NCAA regional champions for three years in 2008, 2010, and 2016.

Arizona Wildcats, their opponent in the finale, was appearing for the 16th time in the championship and had won previously for four-time. Carolina Chanticleers and Arizona won both elimination games to advance to the final.

In the best-of-three games, Coastal Carolina lost the first game with a 0-3 score and won the second and third with a 5-4 and 4-3 score. 

2015

College World Series Winner 2015 is Virginia Cavaliers. They have appeared in CWS for five championships.

Virginia Cavaliers are the baseball team representing the University of Virginia in NCAA Division I college baseball. The 64-team double-elimination tournament concluded with the 2015 MCWS in Omaha, which began on June 13 and remained for 11 days.

The Cavaliers won against the two times NCAA Tournament champions of 2014 and 2019, the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team, with a score of 2-1 games in the tournament. They took avenge for the 2014 finale as they loosed against the same team.

The final game decided the winner with Virginia's 4-2 score. 

Most College World Series appearances are by Texas Longhorns, Miami Hurricanes, and Florida State Seminoles. Longhorns have appeared 37 times in the CWS.

5. University of Southern California Trojans

USC Trojans baseball teams have appeared in the championship 21 times and won 12 times. They made their first appearance in 1948 and their last appearance in 2001.

They had not been in the tournament for almost 21 years but still hold the record as the most successful program in the history of college baseball. 

4. Arizona State Sun Devils

The Sun Devils have appeared in the tournament 22 times. They have won five national championships and have become the No. 1 team in the nation five times.

Arizona State University adopted baseball as its varsity sport in 1959 and first appeared in the World Series in 1964, and its last appearance was in 2010.

3. Florida State Seminoles

Florida Seminoles represent the Florida State University of FSU in college baseball. They have appeared in the tournament 23 times and have never won the championship.

They became the runner-up for three years in 1970, 1986, and 1999. Their first appearance was in 1957, and they last appeared in 2019 CWS.

2. Miami Hurricanes

Miami Hurricanes was founded in 1940 and made its first appearance in 1974. They have appeared in CWS 25 times and won 4 times.

They were the runner-up in 1974 and 1996. They last appeared in 2016.

1. Texas Longhorns

Texas Longhorns represents the University of Texas at Austin in the NCAA Division I league. They have the most appearance in the World Series, that is 36 times.

Though they have appeared that many times, they have won the CWS title 6 times and tied for the most win with LSU. 

Most College World Series wins are 12 by the USC Trojans baseball team. They were established in 1888 and is a member of the NCAA.

The top five teams with the most wins in CWS are listed below:

1. USC Trojans

The Trojans baseball team dominated college baseball by winning 12 times, being the only team to win World Series consecutively five times from 1970 to 1974.

They have doubled the number of titles than their next closest college in Men's CWS history. They won their first title in 1948, the year they first appeared in the championship. They won their last tournament in 1998.

2. LSU Tigers

LSU Tigers is the second team in the list for the most won title in history, six times. They are affiliated with the NCAA Division I college baseball and participate in the West Division of the Southeastern Conference.

They first appeared in the 1986 MCWS and were able to mark their victory after five years in 1991. They won their last title in 2009 and were the runner-up in the championship in 2017.

3. Texas Longhorns

Texas Longhorns are tied with LSU Tigers with six wins of the title. Established in 1894, they are the team with the most appearances in the tournament.

They won their first title in their first appearance in 1949 and were able to win the next year as well. Their last win was in 2005 against Florida Gators.

4. Arizona State Sun Devils

Arizona has appeared in the series 22 times and has won five times. They won their first title in 1965 after appearing for the first time in 1964.

They won their last championship in 1981 and became runner-up in 1988 and 1998 after their last win. They last appeared in 2010. 

5. Cal State Fullerton Titans

California State University's baseball team is the four-time NCAA tournament champion affiliated with NCAA Division I college baseball and participates in the Big West Conference.

They have appeared in the CWS 18 times starting in 1975 and won their first championship after four years in 1979. After that, they won in 1984, 1995, and the last one in 2004.
