Brooks Raley wife Rachel Shipley is a former soccer player with an athletic background. Brooks and Rachel started dating in 2008.

Brooks Lee Raley was born on 29 June 1988 to parents Terry and DeeAnna Raley. His family is full of baseballers as his older brother, Russell, played baseball at Oklahoma, and his younger brother, Cory, did at Texas Tech.

The #25 pitcher for the New York Mets has been with the team since being traded for Keyshawn Askew in December 2022.

Brooks previously played in four other MLB teams: the Chicago Cubs (2012-13), Cincinnati Reds (2015-19), Houston Astros (2020) and Tampa Bay Rays (2020-21). 

After being selected by the Cubs in the sixth round of the 2009 MLB draft, Brooks played in the minor league system for three years and made his major league debut in 2012. In his MLB career so far, Brooks has booked a 4-8 win-loss record, with 4.64 ERA and 183 strikeouts.

Besides, the left-handed pitcher also played for the Lotte Giants in the KBO League based in Busan in 2014, with a 48-53 win-loss record, 4.13 ERA, and 755 strikeouts. He's among the players to have played abroad like the Giant's Jharel Leandre Cotton.

Rachel Shipley Is A Soccer Coach

Rachel Shipley is the owner of Hot Shots Soccer which provides youth soccer classes.

HSS teaches kids between the ages of 18 months to six years how to play the sport. It's also known as Raley Athletics, LLC, after Rachel's maiden family name.

The organization based out of 18643 Anasazi Bluff Dr, College Station, Texas, was incorporated on 1 February 2017.

Through Hot Shots, Rachel has coached competitive soccer and taught thousands of classes. Over 11 years after purchasing the academy and taking over as its owner, she's still as energetic and motivated.

She says that soccer has brought her a lot of joy in her lifetime and that she hopes to share that joy with as many little ones as she can.

Despite her degree in Finance from Texas A&M (2011) and initial plans of pursuing a career in the business world, Rachel decided she couldn't leave the game she loved so much. 

After lots of thought and prayer, she made up her mind to stay in College Station to run the youth soccer academy. Rachel Raley, formerly Rachel Katherine Shipley, now resides there with her family.

It's no surprise that Rachel also once played the sport. She was a soccer star for the Texas A&M Aggies for four years (2007 to 2010). Donning jersey number #7, she dominated the midfield. 

An All-Big 12 and Academic All-American, she helped the team grab two Elite Eight appearances and two conference titles during her tenure.

Living in the same town, Rachel is able to still maintain relationships with the college, its football team, and several of her former teammates. She still feels like a part of the Aggies even though her playing days are over. 

For high school, she attended Plano West Senior High in her hometown of Plano, Texas. Born on 13 August 1989, Rachel is currently 33. She has a sister Riley Shipley named and a brother named Swaggy Shipley.

Brooks Raley And Rachel Shipley Met In College

Brooks Raley and Rachel Shipley married on 2 November 2013. Brooks and Rachel wed in Carrollton of Texas.

They started dating in April 21, 2008, and have been together for fourteen years.

The two met while they were students at Texas A&M. Both were student-athletes there since Brooks played baseball and Rachel played soccer for the Aggies.

Rachel first featured her partner on her Instagram in September 2011 with a picture of the two watching a game, while the pitcher followed suit three years later in 

Mrs. Raley makes sure to visit her beau's games whenever she can. In June 2012, she and other family members were pictured together supporting him at an Iowa Cubs game.

Given Brooks' baseball career, the couple also does a lot of traveling together. In 2012, they had a good time in Chicago where he was stationed to play during his tenure at the Chicago Cubs.

As time progressed, they grew even closer and got engaged in December 2012. Rachel shared a glimpse of her engagement ring on Instagram, expressing the joy she felt to marry the love of her life.

After a lot of waiting and countdowns, the two finally tied the knot the following year. It was followed by a romantic getaway to Maui, Hawaii.

Brooks Raley and Rachel Shipley are proud parents to four kids. Brooks and Rachel have three daughters and a son.

Their eldest child Raelynn Kaye was born on 5 September 2017, followed by twins Rayney Katherine and Ramsey Klaire on 4 October 2019 and Witten Lee on 22 July 2021. Their oldest is five years old, and their youngest is one.

The girls are ready to continue their mom's passion since they train at Hot Shot Soccer. All four of them join their mom as they visit games to show their support to dad.

The six had a sweet family trip to Siesta Key Beach in February 2022, followed by Venice Beach in March. The kids were even more thrilled to go to ZooTampa at Lowry Park in September.

Last Halloween, the girls dressed as three princesses while Witten became a baby dragon. Likewise, on Christmas, they wore matching pajamas as the sweet family of six posed for holiday pictures.

The Riley family also has a pup, Sage, a German Short Haired Pointer (GSP). She was brought in on December 2013 and is currently nine.
